One of Toronto’s most popular curated markets, the Leslieville Flea was founded in 2013 by Brigid Elmy and Christine Roberts as a place for local artisans and collectors to showcase and sell their wares.
The Flea was sold in 2023 to Kendall Pereira, an avid flea supporter, eastender and collector herself and as the torch was passed, a new market was born.
The Toronto Flea.
Kendall brings more than a decade worth and a wild array of event, PR, marketing, advertising and business experience to the table. This, coupled with her passion for small businesses, sustainability and supporting local communities made her the perfect choice to pass this iconic mantle to.
The goal is to continue to support makers, artists, collectors and curators and to work towards giving them, you - the biggest and best platform to continue to sell such profound work.
The Flea will continue to play host to an average of 1,000 attendees per day. With a mix of the best vendors in the city we invite you to explore their vintage goods, homeware, upcycled goods, furniture, clothing, plus a wide variety of jewelry, art, and other handcrafted treasures.
The relationships forged at each market is an opportunity to meet the maker of the item, or talk to the treasure hunters who look far and wide to bring each unique item and its special history to the market.
It is our hope The Toronto Flea continues to be recognized as a vibrant community hub where friends and neighbours meet, grab a drink or bite to eat and support local & independent vendors.
We acknowledge that the land we have the honour of using for the the flea, the lands we are meeting on, is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that trade of goods, selling artisan crafts has a deep history within these communities and other cultures. It is our hope and commitment to bring forth small businesses from within the Indigenous communities so that we may all enjoy the beauty of their work. The flea also acknowledges that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit.
